The object detection is hit-and-miss. It was able to maneuver around furniture and other obstacles, but it was stuck on a rug with tassels that it had to flip over to release itself. These aren’t major issues and the Yeedi Cube remains a great choice for those in need of an all-purpose cleaning tool that can do it all.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
The Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete delivers a three-in-one home cleaning solution. It has the same multi-room smart mapping as the S8 and can differentiate between laminate and carpets with high-pile rug. It also lets you skip cleaning rooms that aren’t filthy if you’re trying to save time. If you have several types of flooring options in your home and don’t wish to spend additional money for a Roborock with advanced mapping capabilities it is a great choice.
7. Q5 Pro
If you’re looking for a versatile robot vacuum and mop that can handle both regular daily maintenance and touch-ups on wet messes, this little robot is a great option. It has a wide range of features like self-emptying dustbins, the water refill dock, and adjustable settings in the app. It’s surprisingly quiet and easily moves around furniture legs or socks. It’s not able to pick up tangled rug tassels up, and its battery drains more quickly than other models we tested.
The Q5 Pro, with a price of less than $250, is a powerhouse that offers an impressive suction and easy automation in a sleek. It didn’t perform as well as the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra in our tests for vacuuming however, it performed well. It has a variety of cleaning modes, ranging from the low power ‘Quiet mode for light debris to the powerful Turbo mode for carpeted areas. It even has the ability to automatically remove and replace mop pads, without getting your carpets wet.
8. K10 Plus
The K10 Plus is an excellent robot mop and vacuum that can be used in small areas. It’s extremely quick and quiet and can maneuver tight spaces efficiently. It also does a very good job of removing pet hair out of carpeting.
It’s smaller than its rivals however it doesn’t sacrifice any features. It has decent suction power and can be set to take pictures of every object it finds (i.e. chew toys, socks), and mark them in the app as “not found’ to ensure that they are not taken up in subsequent cleanings. Its photos are encrypted, and not tied to you account.
It is great at vacuuming, but not so well in mopping. It uses disposable wipes that clip onto the bot’s bottom, and then drags them across your floor. Compare this with the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra and Narwhal models, which come with water reservoirs that automatically wash and reattach their mopheads.
