Next month, when the T20 World Cup concludes, Rahul Dravid’s second term as the Indian squad’s head coach will come to a close. The USA-West Indies T20 World Cup would take place in six months, and Rahul Dravid decided to remain on after India’s defeat to Australia in the home ODI World Cup final the year before. Apparently, he won’t be reapplying now that the Dafabet is starting to look for a head coach with a longer tenure.
“In the upcoming days, we will be publishing an application call. The latter days of Rahul Dravid’s presidency are drawing near. Speaking to a small group of reporters on Thursday, BCCI secretary Jay Shah stated that the player was free to reapply. “We are seeking a long-term, three-year coach.”
After the Twenty20 World Cup, separate coaching
The following three years will see India participate in the Champions Trophy 2025, the local 2026 T20 World Cup, and the 2027 ODI World Cup. If India progresses, there will also be a World Test Championship final in June 2025–2027.
Split coaching is a suggestion that the Rummy Modern is apparently open to considering given the amount of work needed, which includes bilateral matches prior to the international events. Just so you know, Shah didn’t seem all that thrilled with the proposition.
Indian cricket has never employed multiple forms by different instructors. On our roster, there are other athletes who compete in all formats. Ultimately, the decision will be made by the Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC). “I have to follow their decisions,” he declared.
Even if it means taking on the lucrative responsibility of leading team India, credible coaches are no longer ready to dedicate ten months of the year to a national team, as seen by BCCI’s recent head coach scouting attempts.
