Introduction
This is the most comprehensive Crazy Time https://Euroweeklynews.com/2024/08/12/the-most-notorious-scandals-in-tv-game-show-history/ strategy guide available on the Internet.
It includes a mathematical analysis of the game with odds and probabilities explained. From this, we extrapolate an optimal playing strategy and provide some tips and tricks for successfully playing the game.
Crazy Time is a game you can play with many different approaches, and your choice here will make all the difference. You can go for low-risk bets, or you can go for big wins.
On this page, I’ll explain which is the better choice.
In this article, you’ll learn how to play Crazy Time with the optimal betting strategy, looking at the odds, probability, and payout table.
This game has good RTP, and some skill and player decisions are involved, so with an expert strategy, you can improve your chances of winning!
While some other sites promise foolproof Crazy Time strategies that are certain to work, Crazy Time is a game of chance with a house edge and is impossible to beat regardless of the strategy. What we can do – and what I am doing – is to play the game using an optimal strategy to not miss out on the chance to win big.
With wins that go up to 5,000x your bet, Crazy Time is indeed a game you want to push to the limit.
I can’t stress enough how vital a good strategy is for playing Crazy Time with success. Let’s start with the basics for those who have not played the game. If you’re already experienced with Crazy Time, skip to the Strategy section.
I’ll start by explaining the rules of the game, the segments on the money wheel, and their payouts and probabilities. I’ll then examine each of the four bonus rounds and explore various strategies for playing Crazy Time.
What is Crazy Time?
Crazy Time is a live presenter game show with a Dream Catcher-style money wheel with 54 segments. The wheel offers money prizes from 1x to 10x and four unique and utterly different bonus rounds: Coin Flip, Cash Hunt, Pachinko, and Crazy Time.
Back in February 2020, Todd Haushalter first revealed the game at the ICE Exhibition in London and had this to say about it:
“It’s a carnival of activity, with a wheel loaded with bonuses. There are shows within a show. Crazy Time is the most fun casino game ever made and the most expensive!”
Crazy Time has undoubtedly lived up to the hype; it’s a game we’ve never seen before! It remains the most popular live game show today and a game that other developers try to clone.
A presenter hosts the game, and their job is to spin the wheel and participate in the bonus rounds, explaining the process and adding excitement to what’s going on.

Watch the video below to see how I play Crazy Time and what all four bonus rounds look like when triggered.
How to Play and Bet on Crazy Time
If you have an account at one of the online casinos I recommend, you’ll find Crazy Time in the casino lobby.
When you launch Crazy Time, you can participate in the game by placing some bets.
You can place bets on 1, 2, 5 or 10 or one of the four bonus rounds: Coin Flip, Cash Hunt, Pachinko or Crazy Time.
When the betting time is finished, the presenter spins the wheel. Each new spin starts in the opposite direction from the last.
During the spin of the money wheel, the Top Slot will also spin, awarding a win multiplier to one of the Numbers or Bonus Round segments. For example, Cash Hunt may get a 5x win multiplier.
One of two outcomes will occur when the wheel stops.
- If the wheel stops on a number, those players betting on it will win. If the number has a Top Slot multiplier active, the payout is enhanced when multiplied by the Top slot value. The game ends, and betting time starts again.
- The bonus round activates when the wheel stops on one of the bonus round segments. Only players with active bets go forward to the bonus round. All other players will watch the bonus round play out.
The opportunity to increase wins with an additional multiplier chosen before the main wheel spins during the Top Slot selection makes the game round even more exciting.
The Top Slot multipliers can lead to big wins during the Bonus Rounds.
Betting Time
The game round starts by selecting the bets you want to place.
You can bet on all or a selection of the bet spots on the betting grid. The playing interface comes with a couple of “Bet All” Buttons, one for the Number segments on the wheel and one for the Bonus segments.
Crazy Time commences after 15 seconds of betting time has expired.
Top Slot Spin
Once betting time completes, the presenter starts to spin the main Crazy Time wheel. At the same time, the Top Slot spin commences.
For the Top Spin result to be valid and for the Multipliers to carry through to the main game, the two halves of the win line on the slot must line up horizontally.
The selected multiplier becomes active for the main wheel spin if they do.
The maximum multiplier available on Top Slot is 50x, with 25x, 20x, 15x, 7x, 5x, 4x, 3x and 2x.
Crazy Time Wheel and Segments
The money wheel has 54 Segments, which contain either a number (1, 2, 5 or 10) or a bonus round symbol.
Nine segments trigger one of the four bonus rounds: four Coin Flip, two Cash Hunt, two Pachinko, and one Crazy Time segment.
That means that, on average, a bonus round should trigger every 6th spin — although I wouldn’t count on it!
If the wheel stops on a number, those players betting on it will win. If the number has a Top Slot multiplier active, the payout is enhanced when multiplied by the Top slot value. The game ends, and betting Time starts again.
The bonus round activates when the wheel stops on one of the bonus round segments. Only players with active bets go forward to the bonus round. All other players will watch the bonus round play out.
Did You Know?
- TCS John Huxley makes the Crazy Time Wheel. They are the same company that makes the Dream Catcher and Monopoly Dream Catcher Wheels.
- The Crazy Time wheel is entirely mechanical – no motors control the rotation speed.
- As the wheel is mechanical, breakdowns do occur. The strops are known to snap, so they are replaced regularly during system maintenance.
